Shameful Progression Meme

Update: Thank you SO MUCH for the DD! Yay, more people to point and snicker! (No, really, thank you! I am truly flattered, even if it does make me laugh.)

Okay, so here it is in all its shameful glory: my life in art. It is not so simple and elegant as its competitors on dA, but that is largely because I am so old and there were a lot of years to cover. Row One comprises all of grade school, high school, and a few years in college. Yes, I am reaching for my walker as I write this, ha!

I think the most awful part of doing this was not the seeing how shamefully bad I was back then (which I was), but rather seeing how good I was more than a decade ago and how shamefully little I've progressed in that time. *sigh* I was hoping for more wretchedly bad stuff so I could pat myself on the back for how far I've come. :/

Also, having read some of my awful, awful writing as I scanned in all the images from my childhood, may I say that I definitely did not miss my calling as a writer. Oh yes, indeed, it was all terrible. I don't have any teenage musings saved from which I could read at the various coffee shop embarrass-yourself public journal-sharing nights, but I think a few paragraphs from one of my romantic fiction stories would pretty much steal the show for absolute, cringing, turn your face from the horror, shame. And no, I won't be sharing any of it with y'all. Oh god no. I am going to drink heavily all week and try to forget it all.

Also, since 99% of this stuff is already up on my long-enduring website (holding true to its function as the timeline of my life for the last 15 years), I think I will only post this here. And maybe delete it. Like in five minutes. From the shame and the feeling old and all that. Oh god.
