Not terribly happy with this one. The idea was fun, but in the end the lack of background and poor anatomy just make me sigh with disappointment.

All I can say, as I read thru these, is that compelling story does a lot to overcome "a multitude of sins" :XD: as far as what you see as fails in your drawing here. But then, it HAS been years....You have probably improved in your satisfaction with your work. (I haven't caught up yet).

Always further to go. I don't think I will ever be happy with the quality of my work. No matter how much it improves. I am a mean critic. Also, everyone I admire is always improving also. #movingtarget

I suppose it _would_ be bad if you got complacent--that would = no progress.

Glad you have a real audience now! The comic keeps looking better and better.

Thank you so much. I am still buried in comics and other work, but I saw that you had briefly resurfaced and with new gorgeous work! I hope your prior extra-dA busy-ness was not entirely of the soul-crushing, work-related, non-artistic variety. Regardless, you were missed.

Thanks! :) I seem to have a hard time focusing on my own stuff when I'm frequenting forums/etc. I think they make me feel extrinsically motivated too much. I need to break away so I can focus on what I want to create rather than what I think others want to see...

Ha. So very true. I am reading BookLife right now (the first chapters suck, but it got good after that) and this is a predominant theme: social media is addictive and sucks away our creative focus. It was fairly easy for me to give up online gaming, but giving up the daily RSS feeds and dA chatter? Not so much. But then again, I am a creative void during the work week anyway, and the internet (and copious amounts of alcohol) keeps me from thinking about too much about my perpetually suppressed intrinsic motivations. :P I just need to be involuntarily severed from my job like grimleyfiendish. Oh wait. I've already done that three times... didn't enjoy it as much as I thought. >.<

Hehe. I had to give up gaming too - but after so many years of overdosing I just finally got tired of it. In fact, games just don't do it for me in general anymore, which is kinda sad in a way.

As for alcohol, I never acquired the taste - so no help there. ;P
